1. When is the next shipment date?

Please refer to our Shipment Schedule for the dates.

2. How often do you ship to the Philippines?

Normally twice a month. During lean season, and once or twice a week, during the peak season starting in September.

3. How many days will my box/es arrive in the Philippines?

Count starts from shipment date:

Metro Manila: 28 – 40 days;
Nearby Luzon: 35 – 45 days;
Distant / remote Luzon: 45 – 60 days;

Metro Cebu: 30 – 40 days;
Cagayan / Zamboanga del Norte and nearby areas: 35 – 50 days;
other areas in Visayas and Mindanao including Cebu province: 45 – 60 days;

Shipping duration are under normal conditions. It will take longer with natural disasters and human induced events.

4. What are the causes of delays? Why only it takes 30 days before but now, 35 days?

Natural calamities, port congestion, human induced events (strikes, war, etc.). These are factors that we can’t control. We recommend that you check our site often for updates as to the status of your box/es.

a.) Congestion in the rail and port of loading (Los Angeles), transhipment point of Kaohsiung, Taiwan.

All containers bound for Asia are railed from California to get on board the mother vessel that ships the container to Kaohsiung, Taiwan. It will be trans-loaded to a feeder vessel for the final destination, Manila port. During the forwarding to Vismin areas, vessel is overbooked and we have to wait for the next available schedule.

During the peak season when there’s heavy traffic on export and import of goods, these causes congestion as there are not enough trucks, rail cars, and vessel space that can keep up with the volume of containers.

b.) Missed the vessel cut off due to rail car or freight train delay while the container is bound to California, hence, it is scheduled for the next vessel.

c.) Error or glitch in the system wherein the carrier will declare the container is on board the vessel but it is just in the terminal. This takes sometime to be corrected.

d.) Weather conditions.

e.) Mechanical problem.

f.) Labor strike

5. When is your next pick up?

For Chicagoland area on lean season:

nearby Chicago: every Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday

southeast and southwest suburbs : Tuesday & Wednesday

northeast and northwest suburbs : every Saturday

Above days may vary and it’s always best to call us to verify the day for pick up.

6. What time do you pick up my box?

We will call you a day before and late on the day to confirm pick up time. We would appreciate if the time is open or has no restrictions so routing is done smoothly. If there is time restriction, please let us know when you call or e-mail us so we can schedule the pick up. If we cannot meet your desired pick up time, we will work for an alternative schedule with you.

7. I have an oversized or odd sized box, how much is the charge?

Please take the measurement of the box in inches and fill up below.

Formula:

l x w x h (inches) divided by 1728 = _____ divided by 5″ = _____ equivalent number of boxes. Multiply by applicable selling rate (selling rate varies as to the pick up location and destination in the Philippines).

8. What is the status of my shipment?

Please avail of our Track and Trace and we will respond to you within 24 hours. If there’s no response within 24 hours, please e-mail to: info@zugbu.com. We need the following information so we can easily trace your freight:

a.) Name of sender/shipper as written in the cargo receipt and from what state you are.

b.) Name of the receiver in the Philppines and destination/address

c.) When was/were your box/es picked up?

9. What other states do you pick up boxes?

We basically cover the Midwest area:

Wisconsin, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Missouri, Ohio, Tennessee aside from our home base, Illinois

10. Who is your agent in those states you covered?

13. What are your prices?

Metro Manila: USD 60
Luzon: USD 65
Visayas & Mindanao: USD 75 (including Mindoro, Bicol area, Catanduanes, & Appari)

For other states: Rates vary. We will direct you to respective agents nearest your location.

14. What does supersize your box mean?

This is a bulilit box that is only USD 5 if paired with a regular box. This is approximately 26% the size of the regular box. Picked up together with the regular box and delivered to same receiver in the Philippines.

15. What areas you don’t service in the Philippines?

Basilan, Masbate, Romblon islets, Marinduque, and Palawan. Mountain areas not passable by vehicles. We can service them but receiver has to meet our driver to the nearest barrio or town. For islets, you have to meet our delivery personnel to the nearest terminal. Critical areas that could jeopardize the safety of our delivery personnel, receiver has to meet our driver to the nearest barrio or town where it is safe.

16. Do you accept time sensitive shipments?

We load boxes on a first-come-first-serve basis. When your box is time sensitive, please send them ahead of time. Schedule them at least 3-5 days prior to loading date. Let us know ahead of time and we will check if it’s possible for us to deliver it or not. Indicate in the cargo receipt the deadline date that the box is expected to be received so that our delivery personnel will be aware and schedule the delivery within that time frame.
